Three years ago, thus, in July 2016, Shatta made it known to the world that he will retire actively from music.

The dancehall artiste started his music as Bandana and went on hibernation in 2004, only to return to the music scene 10 years after with the name Shatta Wale.

Gone are the days when artiste sits on TV and brag about things they don’t have. That’s why I put my name on every car I have. I am taking advantage of what I have now and my fame”,
