Ghana’s dancehall artist, Charles Nii Armah, also known as Shatta Wale, has been enskinned ‘Dancehall naa’ by Tamale Chief.
There has been a fight between three of Ghana’s top reggae/dancehall artists, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale and Samini as to who is really the dancehall king, but we guess that argument will no longer hold.
The Chief of Tamale, Nyeb-Dakpema Fusieni Bawa has officially enskinned popular dancehall act, Shatta Wale as “Dancehall Naa” (Dancehall King) on Friday, June 7, 2019.
The enskinment ceremony took place today, 7th June 2019, at Dakpema Palace in Tamale.
This settles the score of who is the “Danchall King” in the country, a crown keenly contested by Samini, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
Shatta Wale after this honor was placed on him took to his social media pages to express his sincere gratitude to chief, elders and people of Tamale.
He wrote: ” Thanks to his eminence the Chief and elders of the palace in Tamale, the people and youth of Tamale for the honor bestowed upon me. I know your prayers and love will fortify this union and open doors for the youth and people in Tamale and the rest of northern people. I am humbled.“
