Ghana’s cannabis laws are tough, even for relatively minor offences like possession and use of the drug.

The narcotics drugs 1990 categorically states that anyone found in possession of a narcotic substance is liable to “imprisonment for a term of not less than 10 years.”

Using a narcotic drug is regarded as a lesser offence, but still earns the offender a prison sentence of not less than five years.

Shatta Wale who is regarded as one of the topmost mentors in the Ghanaian entertainment fraternity has shared a wild video of himself smoking weed whiles issuing out a stern warning to his attackers to be wise this year

This a classic example of a pot calling out the kettle to be overly-black. How can you advise people to do the right things whiles you-yourself are doing otherwise.

Shatta Wale would have been behind bars by now if officers of the Ghana police service made sure that everyone endured the full weight of the law.

If it was a regular person who shared this video, he would have been in the police cells as we speak, but all the same, money and influence will always be above the law!
