In the wake of a global pandemic – Coronavirus – Dancehall king Shatta Wale has cautioned promoters in China to stop calling him.
As much as Shatta Wale would want to perform for cash, the last place he would want to mount a stage for now is China.
According to Shatta, people have been calling him from China to come and perform in this scary season, but he is already booked.
He wrote, “The people calling me for shows in China pls and pls “I AM BOOKED” Thank you”.
From his post on SnapChat, we sense immense fear in the dancehall artist because of the coronavirus that has taken over all of China.
As at the time of this report, more than 100,000 people had been diagnosed with the coronavirus disease globally, with at least 3,015 deaths in China and 267 fatalities in other parts of the globe, most of them in Italy and Iran.
At least 1,200 of the new infections are in Iran in just the past 24 hours, the country’s biggest jump since the outbreak began. Iran’s health ministry on Friday added that 124 people have died.
