Born Charles Nii Armah Mensah but popularly known in the entertainment industry as Shatta Wale. The Musician is a dancehall artist who has produced lots of hits songs which has thrilled lots of Ghanaians all over the world.

Shatta wale was born on 17 October 1984 to Charles Mensah Snr. and Elsie Evelyn Avemegah. and is currently 37 years of age.

The musician was born in Accra, Ghana at the Police Hospital to his father who was a politician and legal practitioner and was said to have stayed at Laterbiokorshie, Dansoman, and then later moved to Korle Gonno during his formative years.

According to Shatta Wale, he had his parent separating at a very young age which led to him staying most of his life with her father for some time before he decided to become a hustler and move to the streets.

Shatta who came from a half Jamaiacain family was said to have been made to listen to more reggae at a young age as well as visiting some family members who were half Jamaican but lived in the UK.

The dancehall king was said to have started his basic school education at Seven Great Princes Academy at Dansoman, a suburb in Accra after which he continued to Winneba Senior high school. Shatta Wale who was formerly known as Bandana rose to fame after he released his album titled “Bandana from Ghana” which blew up and had a lot of people singing to it in 2004 and also led to him winning the artist of the year at the VGMA that same year.

The musician was said to have gained recognition in 2003 after he threw lyrical insults to the VGMA board for allegedly giving out the dancehall artist of the year to kaakie instead of him.

The musician after his album took a break from music but came back after the musical hiatus with a rebranded name known as shatta Wale.

Shatta Wale has been able to make many hit songs after his comeback with some of the songs been “Dancehall Commando” featuring Sarkodie, “Party all night” long featuring Jah Vinci, “Wine ya waist” featuring Davido, and “Korle Gonno” as well as “Borjor”, Gringo, Melissa, and many others.

Shatta Wale is not married at the moment but has three children with three different women with the first baby mama is known as Eden Akosua Dufia Kyei with whom he has a daughter by the name Cherissa.

The third baby happens to be called Papa Nii Jedidiah but the mother is not known at the moment.
