Dancehall virtuoso, Shatta Wale, has bagged two enviable nominations for this year’s MTV Africa Music Awards.
The self-acclaimed dancehall king has secured for himself a spot in the nominee’s list for the Best Fan Base Awards and Best Collaboration.
Shatta Wale is competing against Wizkid, Serge Beynaud, Nadia Mukami and Naira Marley for the Best-Fanbase.
Shatta Wale also got into Best Collaboration thanks to Beyonce’s Already song, which also featured Major Lazer.
They will battle it out with Burna Boy’s ‘Monster We Made’ with Chris Martin, Master KG’s ‘Jerusalema’ remix with Burna boy and Nomcebo, Wizkid’s ‘Smile’ featuring H.E.R and Yemi Alade’s ‘Shekere’ featuring Angelique Kidjo.
