Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, and Stonebwoy fail to win at 2020 Soundcity Awards as DopeNation rescues Ghana

Three Ghanaian musicians including one Ghanaian music group – Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and DopeNation – were nominated for 2020 Sondcity MVP Awards.

However, none of the top dogs in Ghana’s music industry – Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, and Stonebwoy- were able to grab a single award at the just ended MVP Awards.

Shatta Wale who was nominated in two categories – African Artiste of the year, and Viewer’s Choice – could not win any.

Also, Sarkodie and Stonebwoy lost in the Best Hip Hop and the Listener’s choice category respectively.

God was so good to Ghana as Lynx Entertainment signed artists emerged winners in the Best Duo category beating competition from Black Motion (South Africa), Blaq diamond (South Africa), Ethic (Kenya), Show Dem Camp (Nigeria) and Toofan (Togo.)

By the win, the Zanku hit makers were the only winners from Ghana at the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival.
