Following the news of Captain Smart’s indefinite suspension which is believed to have been masterminded by some bigwigs in the NPP party the National Communication’s Director of the NDC – Sammy Gyamfi has boldly fired Dr Kwaku Oteng for succumbing to NPP’s pressure.
According to displeased Sammy Gyamf the CEO of ABN should be condmened for encouraging the culture of silence from the ruling government.
In a facebook page, he said
Just learning that the host of Angel FM’s morning Show, Captain Smart has been taken off air due to pressure from certain higher-ups in the intolerant Akufo-Addo government. Apparently, these NPP bigwigs are not enthused with how critical the journalist has become of the failed Akufo-Addo regime in recent timeThis typifies the culture of silence that is fast creeping back into our body politics under the watch of President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia. The C.E.O and management of Angel Broadcasting Limited must bow their heads down in shame.
Aside from Sammy Gyamfi, many Ghanaians have also expressed their disappointment in both Dr Kwaku Oteng and the high profiled NPP members who are doing their possible best to shut up the media from criticizing Nana Addo
