As confidently asserted by Sark, religion has brainwashed Africans and made them hypocrites to a great extent.
In the course of an interview with DJ Vlad on Vlad TV, Sarkodie additionally stated that Religion slows down development because it instills fear into the people.
…I think my approach to religion is way different from a lot of people especially from where I am from. I think in Africa, our progress is being slow because of religion…the fear of doing stuff. But we always turn it around to be hypocritical. Growing up and learning more, I think there’s a lot to Christianity that impedes progress which I think in due time people are waking up… a lot of people just go overboard… I think my people out here, they take it way too seriously...
