When is the adequate time to really declare a mentally deranged person fully recovered and allowed to be incorporated back into the society?
This question has become very necessary after an acclaimed recovered mentally unstable shoemaker axed his father to death in Enugu.
The man, Johnson Ogbu, killed his father, William Ogbu and buried him in a plantain plantation near their house.
Johnson is reported to have killed his father when his mother left the house to attend a meeting. Upon her return, she asked after the deceased to which Johnson responded that he had gone to a clinic because he felt unwell.
Three days passed and they still could not locate the deceased. The police were then invited and they discovered the grave in the plantation in which late Mr. Ogbu was buried in a standing position and his head parted into two.
This is what a family member had to say about the incident.

The police arrived on Friday morning alongside members of the neighbourhood watch and later found a shallow grave near the compound where William was buried in a standing position.
“His head was broken while Johnson used another sharp object to perforate his stomach and other parts of his body,”.
