First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Rebecca Akufo-Addo has donated $20,200 to ailing Ghanaian artist Emmanuel Apraku Ray popularly known as PenciledCelebrities (Ray).
Rebecca Akufo-Addo contributed the amount today, Thursday, August 20, 2020.
Heartbreaking photos that have emerged of Apraku on social media show him in a frail state as his health continues to deteriorate due to his current ill health.
A social media user who made this known o the public wrote; ”This is Emmanuel Apraku a.k.a Ray Styles, an extremely talented artist under the name PenciledCelebrities across all social media platforms. Ray urgently needs your support for emergency liver surgery. Kindly help with whatever little you have so we can save his life. Family and friends including Ghanaian celebrities have taken to social media to campaign and raise funds to Ray’s surgery.
The amount is to help cover the £40,000 needed to treat Emmanuel Apraku from the liver disease he’s battling with.
A gofundme account which was set up on Wednesday to raise $55,000 to support Emmanuel has also raised $52,598 as at 12noon Thursday.
