Contrary to earlier reports in the media about Actress Rahama Sadau being dragged to the Sharia Court for her sense of fashion which conflicts with the principles of Islam, the Personal assistant to the president on new media Bashir Ahmad has debunked these reports.
In the earlier reports, Lawal Muhammad Gusau was said to have released a press statement on behalf of the Concerned and Peace-Loving Muslim Ummah listing some conditions that must be met before she defends herself.
However, Bashir Ahmad has rubbished those reports in via a post on Twitter that, the Kannywood actress has been sentenced to death for blasphemy.
Ahmad tweeted;
I don’t see any good intention in spreading the fake news about Rahama Sadau, I have said it before and I am saying it now, @PoliceNG didn’t arrest Rahama or anyone else,” Ahmad tweeted on Tuesday. Any news about her arrest or her being sentenced to death should be regarded as fake news and incitement.
