A police officer who shot his girlfriend in the mouth on 8th September and went into hiding has finally been arrested by the Lagos State Police.
LIB told the story of how the girlfriend who goes by the name Joy Eze, went through severe pains in her mouth which was caused by her police officer boyfriend after he shot her in the mouth during an argument they had. The gunshot caused severe damage to her mouth and her boyfriend escaped after this.
On thursday, 29th October a statement was brought out by the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police command, Muyiwa Adejobi who said the police officer who has been identified as Sergent Eze Aiwansome has been arrested.
Muyiwa Adejobi said the suspect, who escaped and has been on the run ever since the incident happened, was finally caught and taken into custody by his elder brother who is also an inspector of the Lagos State Police and immediately handed him over.
”The State CID Panti has taken over the case on the instruction of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, for further investigation.
The Commissioner of Police has however warned police personnel in Lagos State to desist from any act that can tarnish the image of the police; and be committed to the principles of Community Policing for better service delivery and public safety in the state.” Adejobi’s statement read
