The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested a 29-year-old man who posed as an officer of the security force and used that as a yardstick to extort monies from both trotro and taxi drivers and market women.
According to what we have gathered, the imposter whose name has been given as, Agyemang Osei, went about his daily operations in Kejetia and its environs.
His arrest followed after the police received several reports about the criminal and upon a tip-off, a team was put together which led to the suspect’s arrest at Kejetia where he was going about his daily routine as a fake police officer.
Whiles speaking to the media about his arrest, Chief Superintendent George Ankomah said;
“For some time now we have had information that somebody was operating like that at Kejetia, so they got him arrested.
