A photo of the National Democratic Congress’ victory cloth for post 2020 election celebration has popped up on social media.
It appears leaders of the NDC party planned ahead for their victory before contesting in the 2020 December 7 elections.
However, the party’s projection to secure the presidency did not see light — per the electoral commission’s declaration on December 7.
The Boss of Ghana’s electoral commission, Jean Adukwei Mensa, declared the NPP’s Nana Akufo-Addo as president elect in the 2020 election with a little over 51% whiles John Dramani Mahama trailed with a little above 47%.
On this note, the supposed victory and celebrations planned by the NDC shall not come to pass, hence, making their victory cloth useless for now — maybe they can re-introduce it in 2024.
