Rufftown Records signee, Wendy Addo, better known as Wendy Shay, despite being a great artiste, has gained more enemies than lovers.
Wendy Shay has been criticised from looks to talent and on top of it all even her interviews are the most reviewed in the entertainment industry.
Any wrong from Wendy Shay is scrutinized widely and often trolled on social media for the least mistake. The songstress cannot fathom why it is so with her.
She disclosed that she was facing racism in Germany and thought being home would be better but unfortunately, she’s almost facing the same thing here.
She revealed Ghanaians have been unfair to her and transported the pain in Ebony’s death to her.
‘I came on the scene just when Ebony had passed and so instead of them waiting for me to grow, they transferred that love to me which turned into something and that is a bit worrying.
Back in Germany, I was fighting the issue of racism so I thought coming home would have been the better choice but I was welcomed with all these things and at a point, I asked myself why me. I just didn’t get it, everything I do, people had issues with it.’
Wendy Shay however believes she will still rise above the unfriendly atmosphere surrounding and soar with her music.
