Parliament lied, two MPs have tested positive for COVID-19 – Mubarak Muntaka

The Minority Chief Whip in Parliament, Alhaji Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka has revealed that two Parliamentarians have so far tested positive for the coronavirus disease (Covid-19)

Minority Chief Whip Mubarak, Mohammed Muntaka, also confirmed 13 staff have also tested positive as reported.

According to him, the infected persons were informed of their status after the Speaker of Parliament directed mass testing of all members and staff of the House last week.

He further mentioned that that the infected MPs and staff have been isolated while contact tracing has commenced.

Muntaka confirmed this in an interview on Joy Prime.

On Tuesday, May 26, 2020, reports went rife that, two Ghanaian MPs have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
