The Vice-Chairman of Parliament’s Defense and Interior Committee, Mr Collins Owusu Amankwah has suggested that former president and the current flagbearer for the NDC, John Dramani Mahama, should be immediately arrested following his party’s nationwide violence-filled street protests.
According to him, John Mahama is the main cause of the brewing confusion and unrest in the country so his arrest will restore back the peace and stability in the nation.
He further submitted that, the unending protests which have been aggressively launched by the NDC is crucial recipe for disaster which can consequently influence a civil war to happen.
During an interview with Adom FM, he is reported to have said;
If you are seen to be instigating party supporters to perpetrate violence by burning tyres and throwing stones, then he (John Mahama) as a ringleader must be held responsible. So, he must be arrested to advise his supporters that enough is enough
