Parliament approves first batch of deputy ministers

Ghana’s eight parliament on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, approved appointment for the first batch of deuputy ministers.

Presenting the committee’s report to the House, monitored by Wontumionline.com, the first deputy Speaker of Parliament and MP for Bekwai, Hon. Joseph Osei Owusu stated that, President Akufo-Addo submitted to Parliament, one (1) Minister of State and thirty nine (39)Deputy Minister-Designates for consideration and approval in accordance with Article 78 Clause 1 to 79 Clause 1.

He said, the committee advertised the nominations as the law demands and has used ten days to consider the first set of appointees made up of twelve out of the total number of nominees.

The approved list consists of:

1: Mr Charles Kofi Asare Adu-Boahen

Minister of state at finance ministry

2: Hon Bernito Owusu Bio- Deputy Minister for lands and natural resources

3: Hon Augustine Collins Ntim- Deputy Minister for local government, decentralization and rural development

4: Hon Osei Bonsu Amoah (O.B Amoah)- Deputy Minister for local government, decentralization and rural development

5: Hon William Owuraku Aidoo- Deputy Minister for Energy

6: Hon Abena Osei Asare- Deputy Minister for finance

7: Hon Yaw Frimpong Addo- Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture

8: Hon Kwaku Asante Boateng- Deputy Minister for railways development

9: Hon Ama Pomaah Boateng- Deputy Minister for Communications and digitilization

10: Hon Kwaku Ampratwum Sarpong- Deputy Minister for foreign affairs and regional integration

11: Hon Moses Anim- Deputy Minister for fisheries and aqua- culture development

12: Hon Nana Dokuah Asiamah Agyei- Deputy Minister for trade and industry
