Oti Region: Man stabs cousin to death
A 40-year-old carpenter has been accused of stabbing his cousin, Boampong Isaac Kojo popularly called Komfo Anokye to death.
We gathered that the incident happened on Monday night, April 12, 2021, at Buem Bodada in the Jasikan District of the Oti region.
The suspected murderer, Francis Brown is said to have planned the killing on that fateful Monday evening out of a fight that ensued between him and the suspect resulting in both threatening to kill each other but were separated by neighbours.
In the morning on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, neighbours of the victim, Mr Issac Boampong woke up to discover him dead in a pool of blood on a seat in front of his door with machete wounds on his legs and deep knife stabs in his stomach.
The deceased was attacked on his bed but managed to seek help before he, unfortunately, gave up his ghost.
The suspect is now at large.
Meanwhile, the District Police Command at Jasikan has confirmed the incident to the media and added that investigations are ongoing.
