Pastor Love Hammond who is the ex husband of gospel musician Obaapa Christy has been sentenced to 48 months imprisonment.
An Accra high court sentenced the man of God for stealing a 2013 Toyota Highlander in the year 2017.
The man of God during his court hearing pleaded not guilty to all the charges as he claimed he never stole the car.
His honor Isaac Addo who presided over the case which lasted for over seven years finally found him guilty and sentenced him to 4 years with hard labor.
According to report, the accused was said to have had a deal with a businessman and us based man named Samuel Amankwah who contacted the man of God to clear a car for him at the port and take out his money spent in clearing the duty and give him back the remaining income.
Prosecutor of the case ASP Maxwell Frimpong revealed that the businessman after consideration told pastor love not to sell the car again as he would come to Ghana soon and pay the money which he declined.
Mr Samuel upon arriving in Ghana asked for his car which pastor love couldn’t provide leading to him being arranged before court
