Ghanaian actor turned politician, John Dumelo has posited that Nana Addo’s government will use the absorption of water bills for three months as their campaign message in the upcoming elections.
The NDC parliamentary candidate said this whiles replying to a fan’s suggestion that the aspiring member of parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon was using his donations for campaign.
This was after John Dumelo was heavily attacked on twitter today for making it a habit of sharing photos of every single thing he does for people in his constituency.
However, the popular actor clapped back as he referred his critics to the fact that politicians are known for using their kind gestures for campaign. John cited that Nana Addo’s party – NPP – will also use “the free water for 3 months” for their campaign, hence making him no different from the ruling party.
A tweep wrote; “Admit you’re still campaigning. The better you look in the eyes of the people, the better they will think about you “
In a swift reply he wrote; “As if the free water for 3 months won’t be used to campaign by yaanom”
Yaanom in John’s statement is a popular term used to describe the ruling NPP government. It is frequently used by politicians who are members of the biggest opposition party in Ghana, the NDC.
