Michael Owusu Afriyie, also known as Teacher Kwadwo, a Ghanaian teacher, YouTuber and social media education advocate has been seen in a new video addressing his standoff with the Ghana Education Service (GES). The teacher stated in an interview with Zionfelix that he was not concerned about losing his job.
He claimed that he can’t even live on his GHC 1,500 income since he spends more than that every week commuting between Accra and his school.
Teacher Kwadwo went on to say that because he has had a glittering impact on his pupils’ lives as an individual, losing his job would have a greater impact on them than on him.
He further remarked that anyone who wants him out of Ghana Education service is an enemy of Ghana’s future generation and also despises the truth.
The content creator stated that he always uses his own hard-earned money to embark on some renovation works his school and that he occasionally sews uniforms worth GCH6,000 and distributes them to some of his students for free.
