No musician should perform at my funeral when I die – Yaa Pono warns

Ghanaian rapper and singer Yaa Pono, has warned Ghanaian musicians not to perform at his funeral when he passes on.

He issued this warning when he spoke to Abeiku Santana on his ‘Efie Kwanso’ show on Okay FM.

The Uptown Energy Boss disclosed that he has told all his family members not to agree to any musician coming to perform or organized a memorial concert for him.

According to the ‘Amen’ hitmaker, his decision is ‘personal’, adding that it should be respected and honored.

“Let me make this clear to Ghanaians,” he said. “I’ve told my father, aunt and elder sister that, God forbid, if I die no music should be played at my funeral.”

He continued: “No music there – I’m tired of music. No musician should step in there to perform. That’s my death wish.”
