Staunch supporters of Ghana’s leading political parties [ NPP & NDC] reportedly engaged in a heated quarrel which consequently birthed a fierce fight after a peace walk in Jamestown-Odododiodio constituency this morning.
Sighting from some videos which are making rounds on the internet captured during the dirty-unfortunate scene, enthusiasts of these two political parties were seen throwing bottles as well as hauling stones and insults at each other.
From what we have gathered, these loyal party members had gathered at the Bukom Square to cheer on their respective candidates who were taking part in a parliamentary debate by the Accra-based radio station, 3FM when tempers rose and triggered this violent.
According to witnesses, members of both parties sustained various degrees of injury.
The windscreen of at least two cars was also destroyed in the process.
