International Relations Expert, Dr. Vladimir Antwi Danso has ruled out hopes of Nana Akufo-Addo voicing out on the current brutalities and suppression of civilians in Nigeria.
Yesterday, the #EndSARS protest ended on a wrong note as a group of soldiers opened fire on armless and peaceful protestors who had assembled at the Lekki toll gate in Nigeria’s biggest city, Lagos.
The Premium Times newspaper reported about 12 people had been killed as a result of the open fire.
After the sad incident, a lot of Ghanaians have taken to social media to call on the President of Ghana who doubles as the chairman of ECOWAS, H.E Nana Akufo-Addo to at least voice out on the happenings.
However, Dr. Vladimir Antwi Danso, International Relations Expert, in an interview with Berla Mundi on TV3 said things are not done that way.
He explained that Nana Addo in the capacity as an ECOWAS chairperson or president cannot just wake up and meddle in Nigeria’s business no matter how worse things turn out.
Dr. Antwi Danso said the whole request and call from Ghanaians is untenable because that is not how diplomacy works.
