A scammer in the process of defrauding an innocent MTN subscriber has been exposed by his own cock which crowed during their conversation.
An MTN mobile money scammer has been exposed by a cock in an attempt to defraud an unsuspecting subscriber.
In the video sighted by Gossips24.com, the scammer identified the man’s name as Prince Akufo in a bid to convince him that he worked with MTN.
He said he was calling from the MTN office to help him solve an issue with his mobile money. He was informing his victims on the steps to take to rectify a mobile money issue.
But in the middle of the conversation, a cock crowed in the background alerting the victim that he was about to be defrauded.
“So from which MTN office does a cock crow?” the subscriber asked the fraudster.
Now aware he has been caught, the scammer couldn’t help but laugh causing the innocent man to also laugh and ending the call.
Given the cock’s crow, it could be that the conversation was ongoing in the morning and but for the cock, the man could have been outsmarted and defrauded.
