The mother of the vice president of Ghana Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has been buried today at his hometown in Walewale, the North East Regional capital in line with Islamic tradition.
Hajia Mariama Bawumia was said to have passed on Monday 13 September after battling with an illness for some time.
She died at the age of 81 years and is currently been buried as tons of people storm walewale to bid their farewell to the mother of the second gentleman of Ghana.
