An 11-year-old boy whose name is identified as Kami Mugisha is said to have skin that looks like that of a snake that causes his friends to laugh at him.
According to the young boy who dreams of becoming a pilot is said to be shaky revealed that he is unable to attend school because he is been called a crocodile by his friends.
The young Kami is said to be suffering from a very rare skin condition called Epidermodysplasia verruciformis (EV), also known as tree man syndrome.
The young boy is said to find it very hard to sleep at night and even gets very uncomfortable when the sun is shining and it falls on his skin.
Mugisha’s mother, Scovia speaking to reporters revealed that alot of schools had refused to admit her son in their school because they are of the believe that his sickness might be contagious and could affect the other kids.
Epidermodysplasia verruciformis (EV) is said to be an extremely rare autosomal recessive hereditary skin disorder associated with a high risk of skin cancer. It is characterized by abnormal susceptibility to human papillomaviruses (HPVs) of the skin. The resulting uncontrolled HPV infections result in the growth of scaly macules and papules resembling tree bark.
