Ghanaian musician and Rapper Medikal has been reported to be presented before the court again today after he was remanded into the Ankaful prison for five days.
Medikal was remanded by a Circuit Court judge in Accra on October 22, 2021, for brandishing a weapon in a video that went viral on the internet.
The musician was remanded after he was charged with the display of arms and ammunition but pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Lawyer of the musician Emmanuel Yeboah Gyan was said to have pleaded for his client to grant him bail but the prosecutor also asked the court to refuse him bail on the grounds that the bail would be subservient to the community interest.
