Manager of the late Highlife Singer Anokye Supremo, Isaac Kwabena Zachariah who accompanied the late musician to India for a surgery has hinted that they have up to Sunday to take the corpse of the late Anokye Supremo out of India else the corpse will remain there.
Speaking on Onua FM Entertainment show on Thursday 7th February 2019, with Christian Agyei Frimpong, his manager appealed to all Ghanaians to contribute financially to help the family of the late musician retrieve his mortal remains from the hospital in India and explained that they have been able to raise over $16, 000.00 out of the $21,000.00 required to settle the hospital bills.
According to him, aside the $5000.00 needed to top up to make a full amount for the accumulated hospital bills, the family needs an additional $2,950.00 to airlift the body back to Ghana.
He also mentioned that they have up to Sunday, 10th February 2019 to pay all the debt and make the necessary arrangements according to the certificate he has been given which explains that there is a law in India that states that if a foreigner dies in India, the corpse should not exceed more than 10 days.
The artiste, affectionately known as Daddy Lumba Jr., was diagnosed with an illness after experiencing a severe headache that affected his eyes and was therefore flown overseas to receive medical attention.
He passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, after surviving the surgery.
