South African police have arrested a man who tried to smuggle his girlfriend out of Gauteng, a proving in South Africa.
The man was arrested at a roadblock on the N12 on Friday in Gauteng.
Faith Mazibuko, a Member of the Executive Council in the Gauteng Provincial Government who shared the news on social media said the man was travelling without a permit.
When officers asked the man to open his boot, they found the woman inside, she said. Mazibuko said the woman was also arrested because “she consented to be smuggled”.
