A young man whose name has been identified as Okey Eze with 350 wraps of cocaine worth over N2.3billion by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
The man who was about to travel with the cocaine at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja was caught by the police before he even boarded the plane.
Okey is said to be a Malian tiler who was caught whiles at the checkpoint to board the Ethiopian Airlines Flight 911 en route Bamako-Addis Ababa-Abuja on September 22, 2021.
According to reports, the 7.70 kg cocaine was hidden in eight packs stowed suitcase which he wants to smuggle through.
Police have arrested the man whiles investigations is been conducted after the man claimed that a friend who he asked for help from gave him the parcel to hand over to a man .
He further revealed that the suitcase in which the medicines were contained was provided to him at the Addis Ababa airport on Wednesday morning..
