The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Association in Ghana has taken to its Twitter page to sincerely thank the Europen Union for their support and assistance toward the established of the movement which is currently strongly frowned upon in the country.
This follows after officials of the Europen Union attended the LGBT’s office opening in Accra.
According to sources, the EU was quick enough to throw their support behind them, citing their core values such as Equality, tolerance and respect for each other.
The LGBT Ghana Association also received an undisclosed amount of cash to aid in hiring its office.
The group in a tweet responding to EU’s support wrote “Your support and solidarity to our cause is one that we greatly appreciate”.
