Ghanaian musician Maradona Yeboah Adjei, known by his stage name Guru has started a campaign for the change of name of Ghana’s only international airport.
For weeks now, Gossips24.com has observed the NKZ boss has been championing a cause on his social media pages, especially on Twitter.
Apparently, Guru thinks it will be best if we renamed the Kotoka International Airport after Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
He suggested the only international airport should be given the name Kwame Nkrumah International Airport instead of its traditional name.
In a recent tweet sighted by Gossips24.com, he wrote, “KWAME NKRUMAH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ✊drop the Kotoka name.”

This comes after the “Lapaz Toyota” crooner about 6 days ago – January 4, 2020 – pulled a literal piece from the history books which suggested that Kotoka overthrew Nkrumah.
For this reason, the rapper questioned in the first place, why the airport was named after Kotoka because, in his sight, the late General Kotoka does not qualify morally to be given such an honour.

Many Ghanaians on twitter, especially followers of the rapper have agreed with him, but doubt that the current NPP government will do such a thing.
