“Let Artists Eat” – Sarkodie advises bloggers

Decorated Ghanaian Rapper, Sarkodie has lashed out at Ghanaian bloggers for uploading the hard work of musicians for free.

In series of Tweets sighted on the rapper’s twitter timeline, he pleaded with bloggers to desist from uploading songs of artists online for free download.

The rapper suggested an alternative to bloggers, he stated that instead of publishing the songs directly, bloggers should rather publish links to paid platforms where similar works of the artists can be accessed so they (the artists) also earn something.

I know sometimes these free sites help push records but can you guys please allow artists make some 💰💰💰??? At least give them a week God!!! Just push links of paid platform links from you sites.. you don’t lose sh!t

He added that bloggers won’t lose anything if they do so, but rather, they choose to upload them for free because they want traffic on their sites.

All these free sites want is the traffic on their sites so you still don’t lose anything if you push official links from your sites … It starts from there, so the people understand how it works ….

In one of the rapper’s early tweets, he asked bloggers to at least let artists eat from their work .

He seemed to be angry at the situation and we believe he has lost lots of cash from the sale of his Alpha EP which was uploaded on several news portals for free downloads.
