Veteran Gospel musician Yaw Sarpong has announced plans of featuring some big names in the music industry on his upcoming album.
According to him in an interview on Kessben FM, the upcoming will feature Kofi Kinaata, Kuami Eugene, Samini, Joe Mettle, Kwaku Gyasi just to mention a few.
On why he’d feature such artists, the gospel icon said he does not see these guys as secular artists but rather they are all artists. Yaw Sarpong used the example of Paul in the Bible to back his new direction.
We should not use their type of music to judge them, we should consider their message – he opined.
In explaining the concept behind his new album, Yaw Sarpong mentioned that his team decided to re-work some of the old classics hence bringing in the new guys.
Yaw Sarpong who recently featured Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie in his latest track added that featuring an artiste like Sarkodie is a blessing and he has been blessed for featuring him on his latest single ‘Ahobrase’.
“I will agree with anybody who says featuring Sarkodie projected my career because he is one of the most accepted musicians in the country,” he said in Akan, “so if you team up with him definitely you will enjoy his blessings,” he said.
