A federal high court has approved a lawsuit that seeks to force President Muhammadu Buhari to appoint some 33 lawyers who were nominated by National Judicial Council (NJC) as judges.

The Presiding Judge, Justice Inyang Ekwo disclosed that the suit was in line with section 256 (2) of the Nigerian Constitution.

The applicant, Oladimeji Ekengba has therefore been given the nod to go ahead with the suit.

The suit however according to the Judge does not mean the mandamus has been granted yet.
