Late Sir John’s Wife Sadly Passes Away A Year After His Death

The wife of the late Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie is reported dead.
Madam Agnes Owusu Afriyie nee Boakye is reported to have died in London on Monday, August 29.

Months before her death, there were several reports about how the widow had told close associates and friends about Sir John’s family refusal to even acknowledge and support her ill-health for which she was seeking treatment. The family further declined to offer any financial assistance from Sir John’s estates to support her even though they know her husband didn’t make adequate provisions for her as a surviving spouse and she was very sick. She is now reported dead.
According to reliable sources, the widow, whose status as wife and partner of Sir John for more than 25 years was being challenged by his family died in London yesterday, Monday, 29th August, 2022.

According to statement of claim filed by her lawyer, Africanus Owusu-Ansah Esq, Mrs Owusu-Afriyie “contributed immensely” towards the success of Sir John.
Mrs. Owusu-Afriyie was normally resident in the United Kingdom where she was cohabiting with late Sir John and was the one who “prompted” him to come to Ghana and get into active politics.
