Kuami Eugene Doesn’t Deserve Highlife Crown – Kumi Guitar reveals why

Many have objected to Amakye Dede’s crowning of Lynx Entertainment artiste, Kuami Eugene and Kumi Guitar is latest to add his voice to the against squad.

We reported on how Amakye Dede acknowledged Highlife Artiste of the Year winner, Kuami Eugene for his talent and crowning him as the ‘Highlife King’ later on that eve of the event.

The likes of Bisa Kdei, Akwaboah and high profile entertainment pundits have reacted to this event that took place at 2019 VGMA.

Highlife musician, Kumi Guitar in a recent interview on Zylofon FM was asked about his opinion on what happened at the VGMAS night.

He revealed it was all for hype since Eugene himself is not a highlife artiste.

“What happened at the VGMAS was for hype, i don’t see it as factual. The industry is now all for hypes. Kuami Eugene is more of Afro musician, he doesn’t do 100% highlife to be crown as the Highlife King”,

he said.
