Two years ago, Ghana music industry was hit with a sad news when it was announced that highlife musician Kofi Boakye famed Kofi B has died.
Two later, Kofi B’s best friend, Kofi Nti who was the last person and with the Koforidua Flowers crooner before his death has revealed the secret behind his death.
Speaking in an interview with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM, monitored by Gossips24.com, the highlife singer said Kofi B died while driving him to hospital after complaining of stomach pains.
According to Kofi Nti, he was with him on the night he gave up the ghost. Giving a heartwrenching account of how death snatched the life of Kofi B, Kofi Nti said it happened in Cape Coast at dawn.
“I was sleeping in my room when I heard a knock on my door, it was Kofi B, he was talking to someone on phone. He asked me to give him his car key so he could pick something from the car. A few minutes later, I heard another big knock on my door again.
“Immediately I opened the door Kofi B told me to quickly rush him to the hospital while complaining of his chronic disease, it was 2:30 am at dawn,” he said.
“Upon arrival at the hospital, he was pronounced dead after the doctor tried to save his life,” he added.
