A third year student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is on the run after frauding other students.
The student identified as Fred Kwabena Agyapong is nowhere to be found after he took over Ghc100,000 hostel fees from other students with the hope of securing a place of accommodation.
Report says he took money from his victims to secure them Wagyingo hostel.
He sent them proof of payment by issuing them a fake receipt, email and SMS to back his claims that he had indeed paid which he hasn’t.
His parents claim they don’t know his whereabouts and he even took some money from them before vanishing.
He was last seen in a picture he took at the airport, so there are speculations that he had fled out of the country.
The HOD of the department and the Dean of Students are currently working to find the way forward. An official statement will soon be released to address the situation.
