Lionhearted NPP staunch supporter and member of parliament for Assin Central Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has alleged that his enemies in the NPP party are scheming to have him thrown into jail purposely to destroy his presidential ambition.
The NPP firebrand who is currently in court over contempt as a result of the bucket of insults and threats he issued to Justice Wuni of the Accra High Court also added that he’s currently fighting his won friends and high court judges at the same time.
During an appearance on NET2 TV last night, Kennedy Agyapong disclosed that some group of persons have launched an aggressive campaign just to see him suffer in jail very soon.
Some people in my party are saying I want to become the president. What I really want to do is to open industries. Thos who want to be presidents are already there and I know them. What I want to do is to be given contracts so I can open jobs and factories. Those in my party calling for me to be jailed should just stop it because I can only be jailed for as long as the law permits
Kennedy Agyapong also added that some NPP bigwigs are pleading with his lawyer to drop the case so he can be jailed.
I know a lot of my people who are calling my lawyer telling him to drop the case so I can be jailed. The case is still pending so I do not want to say anything about it.”
“You need to be brave and bold to be in the NPP because I can see how my own people are pushing to have me put in jail.
