Just In: Former President Of South Africa FW de Klerk Dies At 85

A very sad piece of information available to Gossips24.com has revealed that the former president of South Africa FW de Klerk has died at age 85.

The statesman who played a very key role in the democracy of South Africa was said to have been battling with stroke before passing on.

According to reports, the former president was said to have negotiated an end to apartheid after he realeased the leader Nelson Mandela, leading to multi-party polls in 1994.

FW de Klerk served from September 1989 to May 1994 as the head o state of the country and was said to have shared the Nobel Peace Prize with Mr Mandela for helping to negotiate an end to apartheid.

The former president was said to have died very peacefully at home after suffering from mesothelioma cancer..
