Today, the Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service during Government’s press briefing on updates on COVID-19 revealed the country has recorded a total of 6 cases of COVID-19.

According to Dr. Badu Sarkodie, the four new cases like the previous two were imported into the country.

He revealed the ministry of health together with various health authorities and centers have commenced the contact tracing process since the first four cases were confirmed. He explained that the last two cases were just confirmed over the night hence causing a delay in the contact tracing process.

In his explanation, Gossips24.com recorded a total of 181 contacts made by all 6 infected persons, here is a breakdown.

  1. The first case involves a Ghanaian man called Seth, and 32 contacts have been identified so far. All contacts are being traced.
  2. The second case has to do with the Norwegian Ambassador, of which 107 contacts have been identified so far. 68 of these contacts are being followed up.
  3. Case three is a female student, and out of the various contacts only 12 have been identified for now. Which means there could be more.
  4. The fourth case involves a man from Obuasi. 30 contacts have been identified and all thirty contacts are being followed up.

There is a possibility for all the 181 contacted persons to be infected with the virus. Remember that the number given is just for the four cases out of a total of 6 cases.
