5 male students of Koforidua Technical Institute in the New Juaben North Municipality of the Eastern Region have contracted the deadly COVID-19.
Reports say initially, eight students showed symptoms of the virus but after being diagnosed, they have been infected with the virus.
The authorities, however, conducted further testing on the schools, of which four were tested negative and one whose temperature was rising has been admitted at a private facility receiving treatment.

The infected students have been reportedly quarantined to prevent further spread of the virus.
However, there’s been mass testing of students, teaching and non-teaching staff at the school and as they await their results.
