A 9-year-old girl who attends Happy Royals International School in the Ashanti Region’s Asokore Mampong Municipality has been hospitalized after a female teacher inflicted bruises on her for failing to do homework.
The student was said to have been beaten by the teacher who claimed the student had failed to do the homework which she gave to all the students in the class.
According to reports the student after getting to the house after school closed kept crying and wailing due to the pain which she couldn’t bare resulting in her father sending her to a private health facility where she was later referred to the Manhyia District Hospital
The father of the child after treating her daughter was said to have reported the issue to the Manhyia Police Command’s Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit who have arrested the teacher while the Ghana Education Service’s Asokore Mampong Municipal Directorate has summoned the school’s management.
