Aspiring member of parliament for the Ayawaso West Wugon constituency who is contesting on the ticket of the NDC, John Dumelo, has called for a halt in the ongoing voting exercise in his constituency over a the absence of indelible inks.
According to John Dumelo, some electorates who are NPP staunch supporters might engage in double voting which might cause his defeat.
Speaking to Universe News, he is reported to have said;
I’m disappointed in the process. We don’t have indelible ink here and they are allowing the process to continue which is wrong. I suggest that they stop the whole process, let them get the ink before we continue. The indelible ink is the only way to show that you’ve been able to vote
