Perhaps the most-anticipated feature in the history of Ghana is about to happen as Roc Nation president, Jay-Z features Sarkodie on his Ascension album.
Jay-Z is set to release an African-themed album just like Beyonce’s ‘THE LION KING: THE GIFT’ album, dubbed “ASCENSION”.
The album features top-flight African musicians including Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie who hopped on “Black Chronic” – Track number two of the 16-track album.
The album also features African stars like Olamide, Femi Kuti, and Nasty C. Other featured acts on the album are Beyoncé, Rick Ross, H.E.R, and the duo of Lighthouse family.
“Ascension” – which can only be streamed exclusively on Tidal in its opening weekend – is coming as a surprise considering the less/no hype preceding the unveiling of the tracklist for the album.
Also, as much as we hope Jay-Z collaborates with African acts in the future. We just want to say Happy April Fools Day.
