Ghanaian dancehall heavyweight and the originator of the afro-dancehall genre, Stonebwoy, has publicly confessed that Jamaicans are the ones who introduced the dancehall genre of music to Ghanaians.
The BHIM Nation made this revelation during an interview with DJ 4Ein. He further added that the dancehall genre of music is in the DNA of Ghanaians because a lot of Jamaicans come from Ghana.
During the interview, he said;
The Reality is that Jamaican brought Reggae Dancehall Music, we credit it to them Thinking about how Ghana has held it down, and it’s not only in Ghana but also among all other African countries. Ghana is actually stronger because if you check in our DNA, Majority of Jamaicans are from Ghana, when l sit down and think about it, it’s just in our DNA but a Jamaican property
